Katie Arrington’s story of hard work and determination began long before her primary win.
Katie Arrington launched her first business – an in-home daycare for military families – when she was just starting out. She herself was the wife of a soldier and the mother of a special needs infant.
Even then, she worked the graveyard shift at Denny’s just to make ends meet.
Over the course of her successful career in business, Katie Arrington worked in international trade and ran multiple small businesses before becoming a subject-matter expert on cyber-security for the Department of Defense and running her own defense contracting company.
In 2016, Katie Arrington was elected to the State Legislature where she quickly earned a reputation for her ability to get tough legislation passed. Even as a freshman state legislator running against an incumbent Member of Congress from her own party, she earned the endorsement of the Speaker of the House and House Majority Leader.
Katie Arrington is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is a woman of deep faith. As our voice in Washington, she will always stand with the families, veterans, and small businesses of the Lowcountry.
