Telehealth Educational Series for Health Professionals
The Health Resources and Services Administration hosted a telementoring and training session on Monday for the health workforce as part of its ongoing educational series.
During the event, participating members learned how to explain the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes project, which aims to develop care tailored to treat opioid addiction.
Participants heard from the Oklahoma Dementia Care Network on using the ECHO project to train nursing home staff in age-friendly and dementia-friendly care. They were also taught to describe a community-based asynchronous teledentistry pilot program at New York University College of Dentistry.
HRSA’s telehealth series started in 2018, and each of the virtual sessions highlights successful telehealth projects and best practices, and promotes resources for health care delivery, education and information services.
