Hydrogen Fuel Equipment Company Expanding to South Carolina
LONGVIEW, N.C. — OneH2, a hydrogen fuel equipment manufacturer, is opening a new production facility in Clover, South Carolina.
The building, which is more than 246,000 square feet, was recently purchased by OneH2 from the Belmont Land and Investment Company LLC.
The facility, which is surrounded by over 29 acres of land, is expected to help the company meet the growing demand for its products for at least the next three years.
“Our existing manufacturing facility in North Carolina is already operating at maximum,” said Swapnil Revankar, OneH2’s vice president of product.
“By opening this new facility, we will be able to scale our production and grow our hydrogen footprint across the United States at a rapid pace,” he said.
No purchase price has been announced in association with the deal, but OneH2 has released some numbers related to the project — the new facility is expected to hire 280 people by January 2026 and it is expected to produce about 100 of the company’s modular hydrogen production systems each year.
Once the facility is refashioned for OneH2’s use, individual production lines will be dedicated to each sub-system — water treatment, steam methane reformation, gas purification and compression — of the company’s H400 hydrogen production system.
At the same time, the company will also be producing ancillary equipment such as dispensers, hydrogen loading panels and electricity generators.
In addition to adding production capacity, OneH2 is also expected to soon launch a strategic distributor program providing select organizations direct access to its specialized hydrogen equipment.
A key goal of the program is to establish a nationwide hydrogen infrastructure network providing cost-effective hydrogen fuel at parity to incumbent fuel sources in sectors such as materials handling, heavy transportation and ports, company officials said in a press release.
“As more businesses transition to hydrogen fuel, OneH2 looks forward to providing the support and solutions they need to join the hydrogen revolution,” Revankar said.
