  • Deadline to request mailed or faxed mail-in ballot in Maryland, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.
  • Indiana presidential primary election, with 88 delegates available for Democrats, and 58 for Republicans. Other races on today’s ballot include nine congressional races, a U.S. Senate race, and the gubernatorial race.
  • Kentucky online mail-in absentee request portal closes, ahead of the May 21 presidential primary election.
  • Voter registration deadline and first day of early voting in New Mexico, ahead of June 4 presidential primary election.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

  • Deadline to apply for absentee ballot in West Virginia, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.

THURSDAY, MAY 9

  • Last day of early voting in Maryland, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.
  • President Joe Biden scheduled to host Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House for bilateral meeting. The trip will mark Erdogan’s first bilateral visit to Washington, D.C., since 2019.

FRIDAY, MAY 10

  • Deadline to request electronic mail-in ballot in Maryland, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.
  • No votes scheduled in the House of Representatives.

SATURDAY, MAY 11

  • Last day of early voting in West Virginia, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.
  • Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump scheduled to deliver remarks at a rally at 3601 Boardwalk, Wildwood, New Jersey, 5:00 p.m. EST.

MONDAY, MAY 13

  • No votes scheduled in the House of Representatives.
  • Last day of voting in Nebraska, ahead of the May 14 presidential primary election.

TUESDAY, MAY 14

  • Court hearing for former President Donald Trump, on charges of willful retention of national defense information, obstruction, false statements and conspiracy. Prosecutors allege that Trump retained documents from his time in the White House despite repeated requests from the National Archives and investigations from the Department of Justice. Some were handed over, but the FBI later raided Mar-a-Lago, finding more classified information. Documents retained allegedly contain information about U.S. nuclear weaponry and military capabilities and foreign nations’ nuclear capabilities. Prosecutors say Trump frequently shared the secret intelligence with visitors to his Florida hotel and lied to prosecutors and his own lawyers as they attempted to comply with demands to return the files. He has pleaded not guilty.

  • Voter and party affiliation registration deadline in Washington, D.C., ahead of the June 4 primary election.
