WASHINGTON — Self-help author Marianne Williamson has suspended her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, leaving Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., as President Biden’s sole challenger for what remains of the primary season.

Williamson announced her decision in a lengthy email sent to supporters following Tuesday’s Democratic primary in Nevada.

Though she bested Phillips in South Carolina, she came nowhere near touching Biden in any contest.

“I appreciate greatly all the incredible people who accompanied me on our political journey over the last 10 months,” said Williamson, who launched her latest run for the White House in March of last year.

She also sought the nomination in a much more crowded field in 2020.

“While the level of our failure is obvious to all, a level of success is real nonetheless,” she said.

Williamson suggested processing her experience will likely take some time, but added that she would not torment herself with “would haves, should haves and could haves.”

“I will keep my eye on the larger story. In ways I cannot yet see, none of this will have been in vain,” she said.
