PA-07: Susan Wild (D)
As the daughter of an Air Force officer, Susan Wild moved frequently throughout her childhood — both around the United States and across the world.
Wild is proud to be rated as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress by the independent Lugar Center. In Congress, she looked for ways to build unity between Democrats and Republicans. She partnered with Republicans to address issues including mental health, fixing the U.S. Postal Service, supporting veterans, and supporting the manufacturing sector.
Wild came to Washington, in part, to uphold and fulfill her belief that health care is a right, not a privilege, and that Pennsylvanians of every background and income level deserve to have high-quality medical care. In Congress, she has led the fight to protect health care for people with preexisting conditions, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and ensure that hard working families have access to affordable health insurance.
Wild believes government works best when it’s driven by what people really care about, and she wants to include everyone’s voice in that process. Through her work cutting red tape and fighting government bureaucracy, she has returned hundreds of thousands of dollars to working Pennsylvanians in the form of Social Security payments and VA benefits.
When she is not working for her constituents, she can be found spending time with her family and her dog, Zoey, or cooking up meals with delicious organic ingredients from her home garden, which has been restyled into a 2022 Victory Garden!
