PA-10: George Scott (D)
About George:
George Scott was raised on a family farm in South Central Pennsylvania. Growing up, he learned the value of hard work and service to his family and the local community.
After graduating from Georgetown University with a degree in International Politics, George entered the U.S. Army and for 20 years served our nation in both peace and war. He was deployed for Operations Just Cause, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Enduring Freedom. After commanding a battalion of 1,800 soldiers, he retired as a lieutenant colonel.
In 2009, he returned home and responded to a different calling: one of faith. George attended the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary, earned a Master of Divinity, and began serving as a pastor in East Berlin, PA. He is currently on leave from his congregation to continue pursuing his lifelong call to serve—this time as an elected representative of the people.
George has dedicated his life to upholding the values of integrity, service, and compassion, and is proud to say that he learned them from his upbringing on the family farm as well as from his military and pastoral careers.
George has deep roots in South Central Pennsylvania, and so he understands the issues that affect the voters of the 10th Congressional District today.
George lives in Dillsburg with his wife Donna and two children.
