Energy Department Hosts Virtual Career Fairs for Renewables Sector

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Dept. of Energy is hosting a series of virtual events in September for people interested in pursuing a career in the green economy.
The series of virtual career fairs are essentially networking opportunities during which staffers from the department’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy will discuss the diverse roles to be played in renewable power, sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, and business operations.
The upcoming sessions are:
- Sept. 15, 12–2 p.m. ET – Careers in EERE: Renewable Power
- Sept. 22, 1–3 p.m. ET – Careers in EERE: Energy Efficiency
- Sept. 29, 12–2 p.m. ET – Careers in EERE: Business Operations
During these two-hour webinars leaders and employees from EERE will speak briefly about the importance of the office’s mission, why now is the most exciting time to be part of the clean energy revolution, and the many types of career opportunities within energy efficiency, including manufacturing and building technologies.
