Madeline Hughes reports on telecom and tech for The Well News. She previously worked for New England local newspapers for 5 years. In Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts she covered local, state and federal issues, including New Hampshire’s 2020 presidential primary. She learned how to report as the editor of her college paper and on the streets of Morocco through a journalism study abroad program. She also participated in the New England First Amendment Coalition’s annual institute, learning about public records, and won an award from the New England Newspaper and Press Association for a social issues feature story.
