Dan Weisman
Dan Weisman is a longtime, award-winning writer and editor who was a fellow in online journalism at Knight Digital Media Center at the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Journalism. Founder and editor of numerous online journalism projects, including The Escondido Grapevine and, before that, Ah-Ha Rancho Santa Fe News, he has won first-place awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and Florida Press Association for news coverage and investigative reporting. He has a B.A. with honors from Rice University and M.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Weisman has worked as an editor and reporter at such outlets as the Sacramento Bee, North County (San Diego) Times, Arkansas Democrat, Albuquerque Journal, St. Petersburg Times and UPI. He edited the East County Californian, Carmel Valley Leader and Rancho Santa Fe Record and Valley Roadrunner in California and Bogalusa Daily News in Louisiana.
