
Alexa Citrin
Alexa Citrin is a rising senior at Elon University, double majoring in Journalism and Political Science. Before spending the spring of 2025 in Sorrento, Italy, Citrin served as politics editor for the Elon News Network. In that role, she coordinated all election content for the organization’s weekly news show, “ENN Tonight,” the newspaper, The Pendulum, and the Elon News Network Website. Most notably, Citrin coordinated all content for the Pendulum’s Voter Guide, which earned first place in “Best Election Print Edition” from the National College Media Convention and received first place in “Best Election Print Edition in Collegiate Journalism” from the Liberty Awards.
When not reporting, Citrin is an Elon College Fellow, through which she is completing a two-year-long research project on the media’s effect on the relationship between the Vatican and LGBTQ+ communities in Italy, serves as vice president of Twisted Measure A Cappella, and is an Elon Tour Guide.
