About Chrissy:

Chrissy Houlahan is a former teacher, former U.S. Air Force Captain, and a successful businesswoman who helped to create hundreds of jobs in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Chrissy’s father is a Holocaust survivor who came here with his widowed mother when he was a child, and later served as a Captain in the U.S. Navy. Because of his Navy service, Chrissy grew up in half a dozen states and attended twice that many schools. No matter where they were, her parents always emphasized education and the opportunities a good education could provide.

She attended Stanford University on an ROTC scholarship and served in the U.S. Air Force. In Pennsylvania, Chrissy has helped grow and scale AND1 Basketball, B Lab, and Springboard Collaborative. She joined Teach for America and taught high school chemistry at Simon Gratz in Philadelphia.

Her bipartisan appeal will help her win over Democrats and Republicans alike in this suburban swing district — a district that Hillary Clinton, Gov. Tom Wolf, and Sen. Bob Casey all won. Both Republicans and Democrats acknowledge that she’s a top recruit.
