CORE QUESTIONS

  • Who are the individuals at all levels of the public and private sector putting forward commonsense solutions to challenges facing our country every day?
  • Where can we find people defying partisan gridlock and putting in the hard work to get things done?
  • What vital stories are being ignored as a result of the revolving 24-hour news cycle?

COMPANY HISTORY

Founded in our nation’s capital by two politicos, The Well News grew out of a passion for pragmatic policy solutions to everyday issues facing individuals across the country. Our founders wanted a news outlet that highlights practical policymaking, good governance, and brings a voice to people and events that are often overlooked in the current news climate.

To combat the proliferation of toxic political rhetoric and inaccurate, misleading “news” that has divided our country, they launched The Well News in the months leading up to the 2018 midterms. It hasn’t taken long to learn that they were not alone in their desire for a different kind of news. The Well News reaches more than 5 million Americans and has grown from a dream discussed over wine into the living, breathing embodiment of commonsense coverage done uncommonly well.

At The Well News, we strive to foster more productive and informed conversations across party lines by providing our readers with compelling reporting and opinions. Our team hails from across our great nation, representing a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences that they bring to The Well News readers in those states and beyond. Our goal is to provide innovative and thought-provoking content that is informative and accurate.

At a time when so much media coverage is focused on the views of those on the far right and far left, we strive to cover the business, policy and thought leaders across the country who are actually getting things done. Our goal is to cut through the noise and provide accurate, interesting and exclusive coverage of the issues that impact our lives every day and the people who are taking real steps to make change for the better.
