WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will host a bipartisan bill signing ceremony for the newly passed $1 trillion infrastructure bill on Monday, the White House has announced.

The president will be joined by the members of Congress from both sides of the aisle who negotiated the original framework, as well as what the White House is calling “a diverse group of leaders” who fought for its passage across the country.

The group is expected to include governors and mayors of both parties as well as labor and business leaders.

Coming after his visit to the Port of Baltimore on Wednesday, the president will emphasize the array of steps he and his administration are taking thanks to the bipartisan deal to strengthen supply chains and address bottlenecks in moving goods across the country, a White House official said.

In addition, he is expected to remind those present and the public at large that a number of economists believe the administration’s infrastructure investments will help to act against the inflationary pressures that are currently driving up the price of everything from steak to gasoline.
