About Kim:
Andy Kim’s father was raised in an orphanage and mother grew up in a poor farming community. His father went on to become a Ph.D. scientist and his mother became a nurse and helped serve thousands of people in South Jersey.
Kim spent his entire Kindergarten through 12 in the public schools there, and that education helped him become a Rhodes Scholar
Kim said, “There is nothing I’d rather do than serve my country. My parents taught me that service isn’t just a job, it is a way of life. I dedicated my entire career to serving the American people.”
Kim worked at the White House on countering terrorism, advised the secretary of defense and the Pentagon on national security, and served in Afghanistan as a civilian strategic adviser to Generals David Petraeus and John Allen. He has worked under both Democratic and Republican administrations.
