About Kistner:
Tyler Kistner was born and raised in Minnesota. He recently got off active duty after nine years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps. Kistner served in the Marine Special Operations Forces, the Marine Raiders.
Kistner graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in History. He later went back to school and earned a master’s in International Relations from New England College.
Shortly after graduation, Kistner commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Kistner served on four overseas tours, commanding over 500 U.S. and partner nation personnel on numerous counterterrorism and counter China / Russia aggression operations, maintaining command and control over several Special Operations programs totaling over $100 million in budget and assets.
Kistner and his wife, Marie, live in Prior Lake with their three-year-old daughter, Elodie, with a baby boy on the way.
