About McCaul:
Michael McCaul is the son of a World War II veteran and a fourth-generation Texan. He is chairman emeritus of the House Homeland Security Committee, as well as the ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
McCaul has spent his career finding bipartisan solutions to multiple issues.
Prior to Congress, McCaul served as chief of Counter-Terrorism and National Security in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Texas and led the Joint Terrorism Task Force. He served as Texas deputy attorney general under current U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, and served as a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section in Washington, D.C.
McCaul earned a B.A. in Business and History from Trinity University and holds a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is also a graduate of the Senior Executive Fellows Program of the School of Government, Harvard University.
Michael and his wife Linda live in the Austin area and are the parents of Caroline, Jewell, Lauren, Michael, and Avery.
