About Freitas:

Nick Freitas has been married to Tina Freitas since 1999. They have three children, Lillyana, Luke and Alexandria. His mother was a president of a Republican Women’s organization, and he has been walking precincts for Republican candidates since he was 15.

Immediately following high school he joined the Army and served with the 82nd Airborne Division and 25th Light Infantry Division as an Infantryman. After September 11th he volunteered for US Army Special Forces and eventually served two tours in Iraq as a Special Forces Weapons SGT and Special Forces Intelligence SGT. 

Honorably discharged in 2009, he moved his family to Virginia where he began working as an instructor and program manager. Within three years he became the director of operations for a company providing support to service men and women conducting operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. During that same time he moved to Culpeper and immediately became involved with the local Republican unit.

Freitas was elected to be the Culpeper County Republican committee chairman in 2014. 

After 11 years in the Army and living in multiple places around the country the Freitas family now calls Culpeper home.
