About McAdams:
Ben McAdams served Utahns as Salt Lake County mayor before being elected to Congress in 2018.
He is working to help Utah families and the economy recover from the coronavirus pandemic, while being fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars and fighting the administration’s plan to restart explosive nuclear testing.
He worked with both parties to support jobs and the economy by passing a modern trade agreement with Canada and Mexico and he took on both parties in Congress, leading the fight to stop a pay raise.
McAdams is an independent voice who puts partisanship aside while putting the country and Utah first. As a husband and father of four, he prioritizes access to health care and affordable prescription drugs and protecting children from online predators.
He is a seventh-generation Utahn who was raised in West Bountiful in a family of eight. He went to the University of Utah and Columbia Law School.
He and his wife Julie are parents of 15-year-old twins, James and Kate, 12-year-old Robert, and 9-year-old Isaac. He is fluent in Portuguese and conversant in Spanish.
