David Esrati was born in Celina, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1987. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in 1988.
His career experience includes owning an advertising agency, teaching a capstone course at the University of Dayton, and being an alternate mascot for the Dayton Bombers.
