IL-14: Scott Gryder (R)
Scott Gryder is a lawyer and the current chairman of the Kendall County Board.
He grew up in the Chicago suburbs, graduating from Plano High School. He then got his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield and his juris doctor from DePaul College of Law. He also earned a certificate in Illinois county government from the Leadership Academy at the University of Illinois.
Gryder got involved in politics at a young age interning for former Republican U.S. Sen. Peter Fitzgerald and Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan. He also was involved with grassroots organizing with Republican organizations.
He currently is president of Commercial Services and senior counsel at Near North Title Group, and a member of the Federalist Society.
He lives with his wife and daughter in Oswego.
