Dr. Asif Mahmood immigrated to the United States from Pakistan and has worked in health care for over two decades. Mahmood is on the board of the Valley Rescue Mission, the largest homeless shelter in Southern California.
He is also the chair of the Organization for Social Media Safety that fights cyberbullying and cyber-exploitation of children.
Mahmood is a doctor of internal medicine and a pulmonologist, as well as being on the California Medical Board. Mahmood has seen the downfalls of the health care system in America and is dedicated to improving access and affordability to care. Mahmood doesn’t insist on payment from his patients who are without health insurance. He is committed to his community and has worked with UNICEF as well as free clinics in Southern California to create positive change.
