PROFILE

About LaTurner:
LaTurner was twice elected to represent the people of Southeast Kansas in the State Senate, serving from 2013-2017. Seen as an innovator and champion of conservative reform, LaTurner helped spearhead welfare-to-work reform in Kansas. LaTurner led the fight, along with the Kansas Farm Bureau, to protect Kansas families and farmers by authoring and passing a lid on property tax increases. He has an A+ rating from the NRA for leading the successful passage of Constitutional Carry. He holds a 100% voting record with Kansans for Life and earned the “2017 Pro-Life Hero Award” for his work on Simon’s Law.
LaTurner currently serves as the 40th Kansas state treasurer and is the youngest statewide elected official in America. Additionally, he successfully sued the federal government for their unwillingness to return an estimated $23 billion to Americans who purchased war bonds during WWII.
With his announcement, Jake outlined his Contract with Kansas. The document clearly spells out the values and voting record Kansans can expect from LaTurner if elected to Congress.
LaTurner and his wife, Suzanne, have four children.
