About Londrigan:
In 2018, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan came within less than one percent of the vote of unseating incumbent Rodney Davis. In Congress, she will oppose tax giveaways to corporations and the wealthy. She will support a labor union’s right to bargain on wages, working conditions, and a secure retirement. She will fight to preserve Social Security and Medicare benefits.
Londrigan was born and raised in Springfield where she lives with her husband Tom and their three children, Jack, William, and Kathryn. She attended Springfield High School and graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has worked as a Corps Member with Teach For America and as a non-profit leader.
Following her son’s illness, she and her family worked to raise awareness of the importance of children’s hospitals as well as funds for the Children’s Miracle Network and St. John’s Children’s Hospital.
